Publishing my personal journal entries that I've made over the years. All of which were more like a discussion with God or the lessons he was teaching me each day. Over time I've fallen out of the habit of doing this, and so to inspire myself again I decided to go back and read my journal. I hope to inspire others along the way. Lets make it a discussion!

12/01/06 Why do I pray?

I've decided that what I want to write about is what I learned this day, or what God has showed me. This will be much more interesting and beneficial to read later on. I questioned myself yesterday. I forgot the reason behind prayer. If God knows everything why do I need to pray? STOP FORGETTING! Here it is. Stop saying that it is not necessary for God is all knowing and all powerful. He is. But I have been given the power of the Holy Spirit. I have been given authority through Jesus to change things in the spirit- to make things happen in the spirit realm! Remember praying over a friends pillow demanding visions be had there? Without him knowing, did he not within a week speak to me of the vision he had!? This is just one kind of prayer. I also have a beautiful privilege to speak to the Lord and He can speak to me!

  1. I think you are describing Intercession, or asking for the Holy Spirit to guide you in prayer. definitally a powerful way to pray.
